The Fuel Efficient and Safe Driving assessment programme has been developed to enable operators to implement driver assessment into their company. It provides assessment and advice on how to save fuel and drive safer.
The FESD assessment programme has been designed as a single programme aimed at improving the fuel efficiency and safe driving techniques by using IAM and SAFED techniques for van drivers.
FESD has been designed by Kita to:
The driver is initially assessed by one of our trainers. Advice on best practice in fuel efficient and safe driving techniques is given. The driver is reassessed to record improvements in driving technique and where possible, actual fuel consumption.
The driver is also assessed on performance in a safety check and a knowledge test exercise, successful drivers will receive a certificate of achievement.
Awareness Raising
The majority of driver development is about changing attitudes and behaviour. In many instances this cannot be done by compulsion. Even if this is used, immediate reaction to proposed measures may be dismissive, therefore the benefits have to be sold to staff. Experience has shown that staff respond well to initiatives that result in personal benefits such as safety and reduced time wastage.
Kita was formed in 1967 by a small number of companies based in Kent. Since that time we have continually expanded both in terms of the companies we serve and the range of personnel and training services we offer.
Our principle objective is to form lasting relationships with our clients by understanding their needs and always acting to satisfy or exceed their expectations.
